Lab 1.4 : User Management and Service Management in RouterBoard


I'm back. Now i will post about user management and service in RouterBoard


The purpose is :
  • To learn how to configure anything else in user management and service

Tools :
  • RouterBoard
  • PC/Laptop
  • Power Cable
  • UTP Cable

Now we will go to step

1. Set the IP Address and Netmask


 Only Enable Local Area Network in Network Connection


Login to Mikrotik via Winbox


Go to System -> Identity


Change the identity and click apply and ok


You can see the identity has changed


Go to System -> Service


 Double Click Telnet


Change Port telnet click apply and ok


Double Click Winbox


Set the IP


 Check the IP Address in PC or Laptop


Open Winbox


Change IP Address


Then Open Winbox again and you will see this notice


Now open CMD and enter the command below to access telnet


 Go to System -> Users


Create new user


And add IP Address to admin (Don't forget to change the IP Address in service winbox)


 Open Winbox with Admin


 If you don't change the IP, this notice will appear


Setting IP Address in PC/Laptop too


Open Winbox


And try open with new user
