lab 1.7 : Backup and Restore Configuration


Assalamualaikum Wr. Wb.

Now i will show you how to "Backup and Restore in RouterBoard Mikrotik"

The purpose is :
  • To learn how to Backup and Restore configuration in RouterBoard
Tools :
  • RouterBoard
  • PC/Laptor
  • UTP Cable
  • Power Cable

Steps :

1. Open Winbox and open Files


2. Click Backup


3. Insert name and click Backup


4. After that copy backup file

 5. Paste the file in folder in PC/Laptop

6. Delete the backup file from RouterBoard


7. Reset RouterBoard in no default configuration


8. Open winbox with Mac Address


9. Open Files


10. Drag file backup to RouterBoard 


 11. Click file Backup


12. Select Restore


13. Click Restore


14. Select Yes


15. After that Router is disconnect


16. Open Winbox again and you will see the IP Address. Open with IP Address


17. Try ping to google.com


18. Enter the command to backup from CLI


19. Check in Files


20. Click Backup


21. Fill the Name and Password then click Backup


22. Copy file backup


23. Paste in PC/Laptop Files


 24. Delete backup file from RouterBoard


 25. Open System -> Reset Configuration


26. Choose no default configuration and reset


27. Open with Mac Address


28. Open Files


29. Drag file backup to RouterBoard


30. Click Restore


31. Fill the password


 32. Click Yes


33. If you don't fill password the notice will be appeared like picture below


34. If you fill the password the router will be disconnect


 35. Enter the command below to backup all configuration


36. Check in Files


37. Copy the backup file


38. Paste file in PC/Laptop file


39. Edit with Notepad


40. Don't forget to delete backup file in RouterBoard


 41. Reset Configuration


42. Choose no default configuration


43. After that edit ip address in backup file


44. Don't forget to change IP in your PC/Laptop


 45. Open Winbox and put the new backup file to RouterBoard


46. Enter the command below to Import the file


47. And last, check the IP Address in RouterBoard

Lab 1.3 - Upgrade, Downgrade, Enable, Disable, Add Package, and Netinstall Mikrotik


Assalamualaikum

I am back, now i will show you how to Upgrade, Downgrade, Enable, Disable, Add Package, and Netinstall Mikrotik
  
The purpose of this post is :
  • The students how to know Upgrade, Downgrade, Enable, Disable, Add Package and Netinstall
  • As a part of the tasks assigned by supervisor

The tools that have been needed to do is :

  • RouterBoard RB951-2Hnd or other routerboard
  • PC or Laptop
  • UTP Cable
  • Router Cable

Steps

1.  Before begin, we must turn off all the networks connection except Local Area Connection



 2. Now, open Winbox. Click on the sign ... and choose the second line. Don't forget to connect with MAC Address because we will Reset Configuration in RouterBoard first


 3. Click Connect to open Mikrotik


4. Wait until loading is Finish


5. Click System -> Reset Configuration


6. Choose Reset Configuration and don't mark anything



First we will Downgrade the RouterBoard

7. Open Winbox again and select Files


8. Search file .npk in your computer and copy


9.  Paste the file to Mikrotik


10. Wait until upload finish
 

11. Then go to the Package


12. Select Downgrade


13. Choose Yes


14. Then the Router has been disconnected, click ok


15. Connect t RouterBoard again and check the version of Mikrotik like picture below


16. Go to the package list and disable the ipv6


17. After that reboot the Mikrotik


18. Check the package list


19. And then enable the ipv6 again


20. Open files


21. Drag file mispbe 6.25.npk to Files in RouterBoard


22. After that Reboot the RouterBoard


23. Open Winbox again to check it


24. Copy all files in Package 6.25 to RouterBoard


25. Then Reboot the RouterBoard


26. Check all Packages in Files in Winbox



27. Chect the Resources in RouterBoard


28. Open System -> RouterBoard


29. Click Settings


30. Click arrow in Boot Device and choose the option "try ethernet once than nand". Click apply and OK


31. Open NetInstall 6.25 (To Upgrade 5.26 -> 6.25) and click Net Booting


32. Fill the Client IP Address and sign Boot Server Enabled


33. Click browse and search folder mispbe 6.25


34. Reboot the RouterBoard


35. Choose RB and search again mispbe 6.25


36. Give sign in mispbe 6.25


37. Click Install


38. After that click Reboot


39. Check the Resources in Winbox again
